Awesome Blogger Interview with Justine Vandale at Shelves of Books Blog

ME: How long have you been a blogger?
Justine:
I have been a book blogger for about a year and a half and more recently a booktuber (a you tube channel for all things books).

ME: Why did you get into blogging?
Justine: I got into blogging because I was already reading and reviewing books so I thought to myself why not?

ME: You have started a YouTube site, can you tell us more about it?
Justine: So basically what it is just a YouTube channel that is focused on everything books. There are all kinds of posts: reviews, book hauls, "reactions to movie trailers" and tags which are mini "interviews". For example there was a colours tag so you pick your favourite color and get all your books of the color and say which one was your favourite or least favourite, that kind of thing.

ME: What is your greatest accomplishment while blogging?
Justine: Well I think it would be just getting involved with blogging to begin with. I love interacting with authors and followers and other book bloggers. I have made a ton of new friends.

ME: What can we expect to see from your blog in 2014?
Justine: Haha, well probably all the same stuff, reviews, promos and blitz'. But if you have any cool ideas let me know ;)

ME: Tell us a secret?
Justine: Hmm that's a tough one lol, I feel like I'm pretty open and straight forward. Umm I can hold a grudge like nobody’s business, so don't make me mad :) haha

ME: What is your favorite book of all time?
Justine: OMG! Hard question. I have so many. I'm gonna go with Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban.

ME: Do you prefer indie or traditional authors?
Justine: I like both. I find that they are all unique in their own ways. I do like indies because you can tell it's their own story, the editors haven't made them conform their stories to the "norm". But at the same time I like traditional authors because I like to be in the loop with what everyone's reading. (Not that people aren't reading indie but you know what I mean).

ME: Favorite book to movie?
Justine: City of Bones! I loved it!

ME: Have you met any authors yet?
If so who is your fave so far?
Justine: The only author that I have met is Maggie Steivater, the author of the Shiver Trilogy, The Raven Boys and The Scorpio races. She was very eccentric but awesome to watch and listen too.

ME: What author are you dying to meet?
Justine: Way to put me on the spot! Again there are so many. Indie wise I want to meet: Abi Ketner and Missy Kalicicki, Megan Curd, Tiffany Carmouche and so many more. Traditional authors I would love to meet James Dashner, J.K. Rowling, Sara Shepard and again, so many more.

ME: If you could have lunch with anybody who would you choose and why?
Justine: NORMAN REEDUS because I LOVE him ;)

ME: Do you have a favorite blogger you like to visit?
Justine: Amber! I would love to meet you!

*Amber is feeling special right about now* :)

ME: Do you prefer ebook or print?
Justine: Both. I like ebooks because of its convince, but I love a good print copy for several reasons. The new book smell, the look of it on my shelf and not having to worry that the battery is dying.

ME: Who is Justine Vandale outside of blogging?
Justine:

Well I am a 23 almost 24 (in a few days) year old who lives in a small town in Alberta, Canada. I love to read obviously. I am a nurse and I work a lot of nights where I get a good amount of my reading done haha, but don't tell them that. I love animals, I have a dog (pug/ Cocker spaniel) named Steve a cat (fat, grey boy) named Obie and a brand new girl kitty not yet named (long haired, calico). I have been married for just over a year and a half to my high school sweetheart. And I am a super homebody. Yeah, that about covers it.

Thanks so much for having me Amber!

Thanks Jusitne! You are welcome on my blog anytime Luv!
